38-year veteran of the fire service, is chief and emergency management director for the City of Lebanon, New Hampshire. He began as a volunteer in the Wallingford (CT) Fire Department, was a full-time firefighter-paramedic in West Haven, CT; was chief/building inspector in Rindge, NH; and was deputy chief of operations in Lebanon before becoming chief. He is a chief fire officer designee from the Commission on Professional Credentialing. He is a commissioner of the Commission for Professional Credentialing and the New England Division representative on the International Association of Fire Chiefs Board of Directors. He is past president of the New Hampshire Association of Fire Chiefs and the New England Division of the IAFC. He has an associate of fire science degree, a bachelor of science in emergency services management, and a master of arts in security studies from the Naval Postgraduate School, Center for Homeland Defense and Security.
